Digital Strategy and Campaigns
The right message, to the right person, on the right day.
Giving Tuesday is on the calendar every year, and every year the appeal gets written the week before. The same email goes to the alumna who has given every year since graduation, the parent who made a gift last Thursday, and the subscriber who signed up for one event and has never heard from you since. Then the open rates come in, and nobody is sure what they mean.
Most organizations don’t need more email. They need fewer, better messages, sent to people sorted by how they know you, on a calendar planned before the deadline instead of during it. Then they need someone to read the results honestly and change the next campaign because of them. We plan the campaign, write the messages, and do the math afterward.
What We Do
Campaign planning
For a giving day, a year-end appeal, or an advocacy push, we map every touch across email, your website, and social media: what goes out, to whom, on which day, and who on your team presses send. The donation page gets the same attention as the emails pointing to it.
Segmentation
We sort your list by relationship (first-time donors, lapsed donors, monthly givers, alumni by class year, current families, new subscribers) and write to each group as people you know. Because you do.
Email series
We design the sequences that run between campaigns: a welcome series for new subscribers, stewardship messages that thank people without asking for anything, and appeals that arrive when the relationship can carry them. This is how a newsletter reader becomes a donor.
Inbox basics
We check the unglamorous things that decide whether anyone sees your work at all, from list hygiene to how often you send, so your emails land in inboxes and not in promotions folders or spam.
Reading the results
We track opens, clicks, and gifts by segment, then sit down with you after each campaign to go through what moved people, what didn’t, and what to change next time. Numbers without a conversation are just a dashboard.
What You Walk Away With
- A campaign calendar with every message, channel, and send date mapped out
- Drafted emails, social posts, and donation page copy for each segment
- Written segment definitions your team can rebuild for the next campaign
- When your scope includes them, a welcome series and a stewardship series that keep running after we step away
- A post-campaign debrief with results by segment and clear recommendations
- The habit of planning the next campaign before the last one is a memory
What Clients Say
Their digital campaign strategy for our alumni day of giving resulted in record-breaking participation. The segmented email approach made all the difference, and our alumni felt seen and appreciated.
We needed to mobilize our base quickly around a legislative push. TRANSCEND Advancement built an email engagement journey that turned casual newsletter subscribers into active, recurring donors.
Let’s talk.
Every email is a small promise that you know who you are writing to. Let’s plan your next campaign so it keeps that promise, one reader at a time.
